Hey there! My name is Brandi and I am an artist and writer at heart, currently enjoying the greatest adventure of my life as a stay-at-home-mom. I studied creative writing and studio art in college, where my love of writing fiction and working with my hands surged in mediums such as ceramics, sculpture and welding.
I married my “middle school sweetheart” and together we have two boys: a 3-year-old boy who dreams of sending us letters from the moon when he finally becomes an astronaut, and a sweet 1-year-old who loves nothing more than for me to wear him as he watches the world pass him by. In this season of motherhood, I quickly discovered what amazing life lessons I could learn from such tiny human beings and I still have so much growing to do. Don’t get me wrong, there are some (dare I say, most?) days where I feel like I am living in an insane asylum. But after my toddler insists on a 3rd..4th good night kiss and those big, wild eyes finally close and I manage to escape their bedroom with spy-like precision, I immediately miss their sweet smiles and their contagious laughter.
Behind “The Pixelated Fox”
As for the name, for years I have been fascinated with addressing the juxtaposition of technology and nature in my art and writing. As I thought of how to best personify my online presence, I thought of my appreciation for the fox and the symbolism behind pixelating an organic form.
My parenting posts chart my journey and discoveries in this new and cultivating season that I am now in, in hopes that they may be relatable and uplifting to others. My wellness posts often go hand-in-hand with them as I find beauty amidst the chaos, and overcome negativity with truth and faith.
I invite you to walk with me as I navigate this beautiful, cultivating season of parenthood, faith and creativity.
